South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project logo

Each year, hundreds of unaccompanied children reach the Texas border after fleeing abuse, neglect or persecution in their home countries. Without adequate legal representation, these children remain in detention, unable to navigate the complicated immigration system and facing almost certain deportation.

Attorneys are needed to assist TYLA and the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR) in providing legal services to immigrants, including children, who are detained in South Texas. TYLA and ProBAR are recruiting and training volunteer attorneys, law students and legal assistants to assist with the Project.

For more information on the project, please contact Sylvia Cardona at: scardona@langleybanack.com.
