On November 16, 2005, the Senate approved the Commerce-Justice-Science appropriation bill, which includes LSC's FY 2006 appropriation of $330 million. Now, the legislation goes to the White House for President Bush's signature. LSC's appropriation this year is $10 million more than President Bush requested in his budget proposal, but $30 million less than the Senate initially set aside in September.
