Equal Justice Works explores development of Disaster Relief Legal Fellowships

Tuesday, October 04

  • Organization: Equal Justice Works
  • Source: Katrina

Equal Justice Works is currently in the exploratory phase of developing Disaster Relief Legal Fellowships to respond to the devastating effects of the recent Hurricanes in the Gulf Coast region.  Though we are in the initial stages of planning, we would like to hear from experienced lawyers who are interested in serving on disaster relief projects.  Disaster Relief Legal Fellowships will require a minimum of two years relevant legal experience, with salary dependent upon experience.  We expect Disaster Relief Legal Fellowships will begin in the next few months and may be based in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and other affected areas.

Please respond to alumni@equaljusticeworks.org, with the information requested below, along with an electronic copy of your resume, no later than October 17, 2005, if you are interested in being considered for a Disaster Relief Legal Fellowship.  Though we do not have many details to share in this planning stage, once we receive your information, we will keep you informed by email and phone, of any developments, openings available and the process for applying.  No phone calls please.
