RELIEF FROM SOME DEPOSITS FOR STORM VICTIMS

Upon petition of TLSC and Texas ROSE, the Texas Railroad Commission last
week approved an order waiving deposits for gas service for Hurricane Katrina victims through January 25th.

Today, the PUC extended its
September order waiving deposits on electric and telephone service through December 2nd.

Today's order also expanded the earlier order to
include Hurricane Rita victims.

Please contact TLSC if you need a copy
of any of the orders: 512-477-6000.

Separately, the cities of Austin, Denton and San Antonio adopted similar provisions for new applicants for electricity. Those utilities are city owned, and thus not subject to PUC jurisdiction.
