  • Organization: Texas Access to Justice Commission

In 2008, the Texas Access to Justice Commission proudly announced the creation of its Access to Justice (ATJ) Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Award, which will recognize outstanding dedication and commitment to pro bono service demonstrated by corporate counsel in Texas.

The deadline for this Award is fast approaching-nominations must be received by Friday, April 3, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Your participation is critical to the Commission's continuing efforts to make access to justice a reality for all Texans regardless of economic circumstance. Please email tlcmail@texasbar.com to request a nomination form for this award.

The ATJ Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Award is open to all corporate counsel and in-house attorneys in Texas and will honor an outstanding corporate counsel or in-house attorney who actively provides pro bono legal services for the poor and promotes this pro bono culture within the corporate framework. Anyone may nominate a corporate counsel attorney deserving of this award.

The Texas Access to Justice Commission will recognize the recipient of this prestigious award at the joint Corporate Counsel Section and Business Law Section meeting held during the State Bar's Annual Meeting in June 2009 in Dallas, and, thereafter, will present them annually at the same meeting. The Commission looks forward to your nominations, and thanks you for your continued support and involvement.
