The program on Monday, February 13th will be presented by highly experienced attorney staff of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA), namely Nelson Mock, Team Manager at TRLA for Private Landlord/Tenant and Housing Disabilities matters. Those who attend will learn about Texas law on landlord-initiated lock-outs and utility shut-offs, landlord liens, and attorney's fees in landlord-tenant matters. The program has been certified for 1 hour of MCLE credit by the State Bar of Texas, as course number 901240040. The webinar will open at 1:15 p.m. Central Time, 12:15 p.m. Mountain Time. The presentation will occur from 1:30 p.m. Central Time to 2:30 p.m. Central Time, 12:30 p.m. Mountain time to 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
The program will address landlord-initiated lock-outs and utility shut-offs, landlord liens, and attorney's fees in landlord-tenant matters.
By registering for this program, members of the State Bar of Texas in private practice will be certifying that in return for attendance at the cost-free CLE program, the attorney will render one-half hour of volunteer services to a low-income Texas veteran, referred by one of Texas' three Legal Aid programs, or by Texas Legal Services Center. Referrals will be in the geographic area served by the attorney, and for cases (only civil matters) of a type that the attorney handles, and for services of a type that the attorney will have stated that the attorney will render.
